Micah Paisner is a screenwriter from Chicago who studied creative writing at Lawrence University, sketch writing at Second City, and screenwriting at Columbia University's MFA program. An Imagine Impact Finalist, he has developed pilots and scripted podcasts in collaboration with Audio Up and Sugar 23, featuring Anthony Anderson and NBA Champion JaVale McGee.
His web series, My Astronaut, about a woman who wants to be on the first civilian rocket to Mars while her hapless boyfriend schemes to keep her on Earth features appearances by Scott Adsit and Sarah Stiles. And he just wrapped production on his first feature, a comedy aiming for a 2023 release.
His short films and scripts have screened and placed as finalists at Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, Blackbird Film Fest, Atlanta Film Festival, Cinequest, and ScreenCraft's Pilot Launch and Comedy Competitions.
When he's not writing or catching up on TV, he's avidly following basketball, and if you tell him that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan, he will point you in the direction of The Last Dance and kindly ask you to rewatch. If you’re interested in talking sports or collaborating on a project, hit this guy up.
